Dr Hameeda is currently working as a Senior Assistant Professor of Physics in the Government Degree College Tangmarg, Kashmir. Her area of research is Astropyshics. However, she is equally interested in the subjects associated with the LEGH Movement (Literature, Environment, Gender and Human Rights).
She is a life member of EFSLE and also one of the coordinators for its Kashmir Region.
