Dr. Richa is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English, Patna Women’s College, Patna University, Patna. She has also taught in the Centre for Foreign Languages in the Central University of South Bihar as an Assistant Professor (Contract). After completing her Post-Graduation from Patna University, she pursued her PhD on “Gender and Ecology in the Novels of Amitav Ghosh, Arundhati Roy and Kiran Desai” from Banaras Hindu University where she has also taught in Cerntre for Women’s Studies. She has participated in a number of conferences and seminars and contributed research papers in reputed journals and books. She is keenly interested in theatre and poetry. She is a visiting poet in All India Radio, Patna. Her poems usually deals with the themes related to gender and ecology specifically for raising social consciousness. She is a passionate teacher who wishes to utilise the academic space for affirmative social change.
