Dr Ramanathan P. V. is the Chairperson of English Department at School of Arts and Sciences, Amritapuri, Kollam, Kerala. He received Ph. D. and M. Phil. degrees from the University of Madras. He came to Amrita from the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda College in Chennai where he taught for nearly three decades. At Amrita, Dr. Ramanathan is guiding several Ph. D. students.
His current areas of interest are English Language Teaching, Literature, Religion in Literature and Religious Poetry. He has presented several papers at international and national conferences and seminars in these areas.
Dr. Ramanathan is a member of the English Language Teachers’ Association of India (ELTAI) and the Comparative Literature Association of India (CLAI).
He is a lifetime member of EFSLE and also an Executive Council Member (ECM) for its Kerala -South Region.
