Dr Madhumita Roy is employed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Liberal Arts at IIT Bhilai. She has worked as an Assistant Professor of English at Vivekananda Mission Mahavidyalaya, Haldia prior to this appointment. She has earned her PhD from IIT Kharagpur. Her research interests include postcolonial literature and theory, literary urban studies, cultural studies and environmental humanities. Her research has been published in journals such as Journal of Commonwealth Literature (Sage), GeoHumanities (Taylor & Francis), Glocalism (Globus et Locus), Journal of Urban Cultural Studies (Intellect) and IUP Journal of English Studies (ICFAI University Press).
She is a lifetime member of EFSLE and she has also been appointed as one of the Coordinators for its Chhattisgarh Region.
