N. Karpagavalli is an Assistant Professor in the department of English at Rani Anna Government College for Women, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. She got into Government service in 2002 as PG Assistant English at Government Higher Secondary School Rameswaram, due to her continuous effort she got shifted to collegiate education in the year 2008 till date. She has a thirst for social service. As an NSS Programme Officer she has done commendable service to the students and society. As an NSS Programme Officer, she has adopted two villages and planted more than 500 plants and it is being taken care by the villagers today. In the village she has conducted awareness rallies related to AIDS, Cancer Awareness, open defecation programme, Ban plastics, Plantation day and Medical camps. Her major area of research is Ecocriticism esp. Indian writings in English. She is one of the EC Members of EFSLE for its Tamil Nadu region.
