Triparna Mukherjee has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of English of South Calcutta Girls’ College, affiliated under University of Calcutta. She presented research papers in many International and National Seminars,conferences including conferences organised by the University of Leeds, UK, University College Dublin,University of Belgrade, University of Rzeszow, Banaras Hindu University, Jadavpur University, Green University, Rabindra Bharati University to name a few. As a resource person, she delivered invited lectures at many colleges. Her Research articles have been published in many renowned International journals including journals of Routledge , including UGC-CARE Listed Journals, journals of different Central Universities and international journals. Many book chapters written by her have been included in the books published by reputed publishers.
She is a member of the Editorial Board of two international journals. She works as Reviewer of two international journals, including one Italian journal on Environmental Humanities. She is a Book Reviewer of a renowned journal published by Routledge. She chaired sessions in many international conferences including international conferences organised by University of Rome Tor Vergata, Italy. Her areas of interest are Indian Writing in English, Ecocriticism, Green Humanities, Disaster Fiction, Retelling of Indian Epics, Disability Studies, Detective Fiction, Vulnerability Studies, Dalit Ecology, Feminist Discourse and Postcolonial Literature.
She is a life member of EFSLE and also an Executive Council Member (ECM) of its West Bengal-South Region.
