Dr. Sahdev Luhar is an Associate Professor in the Department of English Studies, School of Language, Literature and Cultural Studies at the Central University of Gujarat, Kundhela, Vadodara. His areas of specialization include post-1980s Indian English fiction, folklore studies, translation studies, and contemporary literary theory. He is the author of Constructing a New Canon of Post-1980s Indian English Fiction (2017) and “Whose Curriculum is This Anyway?” – Interpretations of Intentions (2014). His edited volume, Folklore Studies in India: Critical Regional Responses (2023), features twenty-eight essays—one on each Indian state—highlighting the development of folklore studies across the country. Dr. Luhar has also published numerous research articles in reputed national and international journals.
He is a lifetime member of EFSLE and also an Executive Council Member (ECM) of its Gujarat Central Region.
