Gujarat & the LEGH Movement
EFSLE initiated the LEGH Movement in Gujarat in 2017. In the beginning, there existed two different regions of EFSLE in the state. In January 2019, the third Council was established- Gujarat -West (Saurashtra & Kuchchh). In January 2025, giving extension to its objectives, EFSLE establishes its fourth Executive Councils in the state – Gujarat North.
EFSLE has created four (4) different Regions in Gujarat to establish its Executive Councils:
- Gujarat- Central – It includes Eight (8) districts- Ahmedabad, Kheda, Panchmahal, Vadodara, Anand, Dahod, Chhota Udaipur and Mahisagar.
- Gujarat- North – This region consists of Seven (7) districts of the state- Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Banaskantha and Vav-Tharad.
- Gujarat- South – This region includes Seven (7) districts of the state- Dang, Surat, Valsad, Bharuch, Narmada, Tapi and Navsari.
- Gujarat- West (Saurashtra & Kuchchh) – This region includes Twelve (12) districts of the state- Bhavnagar, Amreli, Junagadh, Jamnagar, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Rajkot, Porbandar, Surendranagar, Kachchh, Botad, Morbi and Gir Somnath.
In Gujarat- From its Central Region Dr. Dushyant Nimavat has been appointed as the Zonal Secretary of EFSLE Western Zone (WZ) in 2025.

In January 2019, a new Executive Council is being established in the region – Gujarat West (Saurashtra & Kuchchh).
The Joint Secretary for this region is yet to be appointed. However, we have our first Coordinator in this region.
